I write lyrics
Hi, I’m Erik Soriano — a designer, aspiring songwriter, and lyricist from Honduras. Music has always been one of the biggest creative forces in my life. My original dream was to be in a band, make music with friends, and travel the world, but I never pursued it when I was younger because I was afraid of being judged.
Now I’m finally giving that dream a real chance.
This songwriting project is my way of stepping into something music-adjacent and creatively fulfilling beyond my career as a designer. Many of the lyrics you’ll find here were written years ago, some going back to the 2000s, so they reflect an earlier and less polished version of me — but they’re real, emotional, and foundational to who I am as a writer.
Even in my design career, my strongest creative interests always seem to come back to music, sound, playback, and lyricism. I’m drawn to the emotional atmosphere of songs and the way words and melody can create identity, memory, and feeling.
